Matthew Park

M.D / PhD student

Matthew is an MD/PhD student in the Merad Lab, studying cellular senescence of myeloid cells, in the contexts of aging and tumorigenesis. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biological physics and a program in international affairs at Georgetown University and the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Matthew aims to explore potential mechanisms of metabolic dysregulation and subsequent immune signaling that underscore age-associated pathologies and differential responses to immunotherapy.

Fun fact about myself:

  1. The best kind of shoes are Timbs.

  2. One of the best movies I've seen recently is I Care A Lot, starring Rosamund Pike, and it strangely motivates me to study aging even more.

  3. Anything is better with strawberries.
